Each of our associates brings unique skills to the adjusting process. Because we enjoy working together, we are able to resolve the myriad of issues that arise during the adjusting process in a non-confrontational manner that provides the maximum benefit to the policy holder.

Jonathan F. Sadick
, SPPA, is a graduate of Dartmouth College with a combined degree in Economics and Engineering. Jon is the fourth generation of his family to be involved in the public adjusting profession. Jon is one of only ten-percent of Public Adjusters who have earned the SPPA (Senior Professional Public Adjuster) designation from the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters. He has more than twenty plus years of adjusting experience and has handled in excess of two hundred million dollars in claims. He is an active member of his community, serving on a number of charitable boards as well as being a past master of his Masonic Lodge. He is Vice President of the Massachusetts Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.

Leonard Theran, SPPA, earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Stanford University. He has more than 35 years adjusting experience and also earned the SPPA designation. Because he has also been involved in the management of several high-tech companies, Len has a unique perspective when adjusting industrial losses. He is on the Board of Directors of CAI-New Hampshire. He is President of the Massachusetts Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.He has also qualified as an Expert Witness in legal matters.

Brian P. Payne is a graduate of Indian Hills Community College, Iowa. Prior to becoming a Public Adjuster, he was a staff adjuster for the Travelers Insurance Co. for 8 years. He also worked for 8 years as the General Manager of Disaster Specialists supervising the estimating and restoration work of 30 employees. Brian has held an unrestricted builder’s license for over 15 years and has consulted for many insurance companies since 1987. Brian also served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserve for a total of six years.

Howard E. Shore attended the University of Massachusetts. Prior to becoming a Public Adjuster, he was a licensed insurance agent and Senior Property Adjuster with the Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. and John Hancock Insurance Co. for 19 years. He has adjusted over 6,000 claims in his career. He is a graduate of the Life Underwriters Training Council, the Vale Tech Property Training Program, and several mold-training courses. He is a member of the Honorable Order of the Blue Goose of Massachusetts.

Lee S. Silverstein prepares and presents contents and stock loss claims, with particular expertise in negotiating with insurance company appointed salvage contractors. Lee has prepared and presented over one thousand insurance claims securing tens of millions of dollars in recoveries for the firms clients since becoming licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1994. Lee attended Roger Williams College and is also licensed to practice public adjusting in several other states. Lee was involved in the solicitation and adjusting of claims resulting from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005. Lee is an active member of the Worcester Property Owners Association, the Worcester Executives Association and serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association of Public Insurance Adjusters.

Joyce K. Axelson-Lorch graduated from Stonehill College with a major in Psychology. Joyce has completed several Management/Communication courses including Dale Carnegie and Steven Covey training and is a certified mediator. Prior to working for Professional Loss Adjusters, Joyce was a Donor Recruiter for American Red Cross and a Marketing, Promotions and Events Manager for Sony Electronics Corporation. Joyce is also a volunteer for Girl Scouts and the Worcester County District Court System, and a member of the Barre Players Theatre Association.

Paula M. Fitzgibbon is a graduate of Simmons College with a degree in Economics. She has over 25 years experience in the financial services industry and has held the titles of senior statistician, senior research analyst, and associate economist for BankBoston, Fleet Financial Group, and Bank of America. She is a past president of the Brighton Emblem Club and a founding member of the Presentation School Foundation.


Professional Loss Adjusters is a member of the Better Business Bureau, the Massachusetts Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, the National Association of Public Insurance Adjusters, the Institute of Real Estate Management, Community Associations Institute – New England Chapter, Community Associations Institute – New Hampshire Chapter and the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
