Mike Salvi and I were honored to be invited by Gary Goldman of WCRN talk radio, Worcester, MA, to provide advice to tornado victims on how to deal with their insurance claims.

We discussed some of the issued confronting home, property, and business owners after the disasterous tornadoes that hit West Springfield, Springfield, Monson, Brimfield, Sturbridge and the surrounding areas on June 1st.
It was a lot to cover in an hour and I would like to direct those affected to the various pages on our web site that address the issues of what to do after a loss and what a Public Adjuster can do to help you.
There is a lot to this process that is not obvious to those who do not deal with it every day. Insureds have many assumptions about the process that are, unfortunately, not only wrong but can lead to unfavorable results.
We also discussed how the adjusting divisions of insurance companies are structured, the role of the adjuster who represents an insurance company, how a claim is handled, and how the adjusting process actually works. So please take care to review the information on the pages entitled: "What to Do After a Loss" under the headings for Business, Condo/Realty, and Homeowner.
As you can imagine, our firm has been extremely busy during the last week. It is painful to see the distress of so many who have lost their homes, property and businesses.
Please let us know if you have any questions about the process. The best way to do this is to leave a message on our contact pages.
